Description

Pear Tree Villa is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from squared limestone with a pantile roof and a rebuilt brick stack. The house follows a central-entry plan, with a depth of one and a half rooms. The front facade is two storeys high with a three-window arrangement, and features a gable end facing the street. A four-panel door, partly glazed, is located centrally and is flanked by three-light, large-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows. A similar window is present on the first floor to the right. A replacement window has been installed on the first floor to the left. Above the doorway is a tripartite large-pane sash window. All openings are topped with painted timber lintels. The eaves are coved, and the gables are coped with shaped kneelers. A stack is located at the right-hand end.
