Description
Highway Cottage is a house from the 18th century located on High Street in Wrelton, North Yorkshire. It is constructed of squared limestone and features a pantile roof with brick chimneys. The building has a three-cell, hearth-passage plan and is two stories tall with a four-window front. The entrance is a replacement door, partially glazed, situated to the left of the center. To the left of the door is a large-pane, two-light horizontal-sliding sash window, and to the right are two similar three-light windows. On the first floor, there are two-light windows, with the one at the far left being a later addition. All windows have painted stone sills and painted timber lintels above them. The building has chimneys located at the ends and just left of center.
