Description
No. 11 Wharfe Bank Terrace is a house built in the early 19th century, with restorations from the late 20th century. It features pinkish-orange brick in Flemish bond, with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays. There is an ashlar plinth and a step leading to the entrance. The entrance includes a 20th-century six-panel door beneath an oblong fanlight with glazing bars, set within a 20th-century pilastered doorcase that has brackets supporting a hood. To the right, there is a full-height canted bay. The central windows are 18-pane sashes, with 8-pane sashes on the sides, while the other windows are 12-pane sashes, all featuring ashlar wedge lintels. The first-floor lintels are painted to resemble brick, and there is an ashlar cill band at both the ground and first floors. The eaves have a double dentilled band, and there is an ashlar kneeler and coping on the right side. The house has an end stack.
