Description
No. 9 Wharfe Bank Terrace is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with some remodelling in the 19th century. It is constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There is a plinth at the base. The central entrance has a 19th-century door with six fielded panels, topped by an oblong fanlight that includes glazing bars. This door is set within a pilastered doorcase that has a dentil frieze and consoles supporting a hood. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, each with cills, and are set under flat arches with voussoirs. The house also has a modillion eaves band, an ashlar kneeler, and coping on the right side. The roof is swept, and there are stacks at the ends.
