Description

Wharfe Bridge is a bridge dating from the late 17th century, which was widened on the upstream side in the late 18th century. It is constructed of magnesian limestone ashlar and features seven bays, each with a segmental headed arch. The bridge has rounded cutwaters on the upstream side, a solid parapet with capping, and curved splayed ends that include round piers at both ends. It spans the River Wharfe.
