Description
No. 24 Kirkgate is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with some 20th-century additions. It is built of pinkish-brown brick and features an ashlar plinth and cills, topped with a roof made of pantiles and stone slates. The building has two storeys and three bays. There is a plinth at the base, with a central 20th-century door set beneath a segmental head. To the right, there is a many-paned 18th-century bow window with a dentil cornice, while a 20th-century bow window is located to the left. On the first floor, the end bays have casement windows, and there is a blocked opening in the centre, all of which are set under segmental arches made of gauged brick and feature cills. The right side has ashlar coping, and there is an end stack.
