Description

BLUBBERHOUSES HALL LANE SE 15 NE (north side) 2/18 Sundial approximately 5 metres south of Blubberhouses Hall GV II

Sundial. Dated 1742. Gritstone shaft, bronze gnomon. Octagonal base; square-section shaft approximately one metre high with a series of cut inscriptions on the north-east face: "SM/1742/I/?CIF/?1812/?RAI/M". The gnomon decorated with C and S scrolls.
