Description
This sundial, located approximately 15 metres south of Dougill Hall, dates from around 1722 and was created for the Dougill family. It is made of gritstone and stands about 1.2 metres tall. The sundial features a square base and a circular foot leading to a cylindrical shaft, which has a cyma moulding at the top and a square dial. The original bronze plate is still present, although it is covered by a 19th-century plate and gnomon.
