Description

Nos 5, 7, and 9 Millgate are three cottages, likely built in the early 18th century. They are constructed from rubble with a pantile roof that has stone slates at the eaves. Each cottage is a single storey and consists of three bays, with a door in the center flanked by a window on each side. The openings feature deep stone lintels, and the doors are made of boards. The windows were originally side-sliding sashes but have been replaced with 12-pane unequally-hung sashes, except for the left-hand windows of Nos 7 and 9. The cottages have ashlar coping and stacks at the ends, as well as flanking the central cottage.
