Description

These outbuildings, located approximately 50 metres west of Low Hall, date from the 18th century and consist of a coach-house, stables, cart-shed, byres, and a barn. They are arranged around three sides of a yard and are constructed from dressed sandstone and coursed sandstone rubble, featuring tooled quoins and dressings, with pantile roofs.

The central barn is two-storey and has three bays, with a plank door beneath a flat arch and 20th-century double doors in a keyed segmental arch at the rear. The coach-house range on the left is one and a half storeys high and has plank and stable doors facing the yard. There is a carriage arch at the left gable end with double doors set in a quoined segment-arched surround, topped with a square pitching window in a raised keyed surround. The right gable end features a similar open cart arch. The buildings have stepped eaves, coped gables, and kneelers. The range on the right has no openings facing the yard. These outbuildings are included for their group value.
