Range Of Outbuildings Attached To The Old Hall

The range of outbuildings attached to the Old Hall consists of a barn, byres, and stables with lofts above, dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of dressed sandstone featuring herringbone-tooled quoins, topped with a pantile roof and a brick stack. This 1½-storey range has a wider barn in the center, flanked by byres and stables that also have lofts above. The gable end faces the street. The barn has opposed plank doors with timber lintels. The range on the right has altered openings with renewed lintels, while the left side features plank doors with flat arches, an oval window in the center, and shuttered pitching holes above. The right side has a coped gable and a kneeler, with a stack at the left end. The gable end facing the street includes a blocked, keyed window opening with a stone sill to the left.
