Description
The outbuildings located approximately 20 metres north of Cornfield House are designated as a Grade II structure. These buildings, which include loose boxes, stables, and a cart-shed with a loft above, date from the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations. They are constructed from roughly tooled sandstone, featuring herringbone-tooled quoins and lintels, and are topped with a pantile roof. The layout is L-shaped, comprising a two-storey, six-bay range with a single-storey, two-bay return on the left side.
The two-storey range has a double board door at the end right, set beneath a segmental arch made of shaped tooled voussoirs. The remaining ground-floor openings consist of rectangular doorways, some of which have board doors. There is a square opening above the cart arch that is part-glazed and slatted, while the other loft openings are shuttered. The building features a stepped eaves course, coped gables, and round-ended kneelers. On the left gable end, stone steps lead up to a board door accessing the loft.
