Description

The bridge over Hodge Beck is an early 19th-century structure located in Bransdale Cockayne. It is built from tooled rusticated sandstone and features a single span with a semicircular arch made of voussoirs, which includes a keystone. The arch is supported by pilaster buttresses that have chamfered imposts, with similar buttresses at each end of the bridge. These buttresses extend to the height of the parapet, creating rectangular piers with flat tops. The parapet is finished with chamfered shaped coping.
