Description

Saint Mary's Mission Room is likely a former Methodist Chapel, later used as a parish church room, built around 1810. It features dressed limestone on a limestone plinth, topped with a slate roof and a brick stack. The building has a rectangular shape and is a single storey with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door beneath a divided fanlight, flanked by round-headed sash windows with stone sills. All openings have round arches, and the roof is hipped. At the rear, there are similar windows, and a single stack is located at the center, piercing the roof. Additionally, early 19th-century railings with ramped-up design, slender stick balusters, and urn finials are attached to the footbridge that crosses the beck in front of the building.
