Description
Westwood Granary is a former byre with a granary above, along with an attached stable, cartshed, and loose box. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed from coursed rubble sandstone with irregular quoins and a pantile roof. The building is L-shaped in plan, featuring a one and a half storey byre and granary with a single storey range to the left. There are plank and muntin stable doors at each end of the byre and granary, as well as to the stable. The byre has a slatted window on the right and a ventilation slit on the left, along with shuttered pitching windows to the left. A flight of stone steps leads to the right end wall of the granary. The building is included for its group value with nearby structures.
