Description
Park View is a house with an attached garage and outbuilding, built in 1757 with an early 19th-century extension and 20th-century alterations and modernizations. It features orange-red brick in English garden wall bond, a weatherboarded porch, and a pantile roof. The house is two stories tall with a two-window range on the right and a lower two-story, three-window range on the left, while a single-storey range of outbuildings and a garage are located further to the left. Originally, the house had a two-cell, lobby-entry plan, which was later extended to the left.
A 20th-century door is located within a gabled porch to the left of the earlier range. The two windows at the end left of the ground floor are 20th-century small-pane replacements. The remaining windows are two-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sashes, with the window to the left of the door featuring a segmental arch. The windows to the right of the door have painted timber lintels and a lozenge of black brick between them. The date of construction is carved above the window to the right of the door. The eaves course is stepped, with dentils on the right range, and there are end stacks on the right range. The single-storey range is not of special interest.
