Description
Park View is a house dating from the 17th century, with a brick front added in the 18th century, a parallel rear wing constructed in the mid-19th century, and 20th-century extensions at each end. The main part of the house is timber-framed and roughcast, with a front of plum brick laid in a chequered pattern with black headers; lighter red brick dressings are used, along with flat gauged arches. The roof is steeply pitched, covered in old red tiles. A red brick rear wing is parallel to the main house.
The house, set back from the lane and facing west, has two storeys and two main rooms. The front has an internal gable chimney on the south side, a brick eaves band, and two windows on each floor. The windows are flush box sashes with 4/4 glazing bars. The property was formerly recorded as having a central six-panel door; the entrance is now into the northern extension. A two-storey, narrow, parallel rear wing extends from the main building.
