Description

Foundry Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast exterior and a painted brick lean-to on the west side. The roof is made of old red tiles in a gambrel style, with a half-hip at the eastern end and a slated lean-to on the west. The house is 1 1/2 storeys high and has a two-cell layout with end chimneys, positioned backing onto the road and facing south. The south front includes two box dormers, two three-light casement windows, and a door in the middle. The lower part of the eastern gable has a projection that likely serves as an oven. There is also a single large box dormer on the north side.
