Description

Pound Farmhouse is an early to mid-19th century farmhouse, potentially built on the site of an older building. It is constructed of red brick with a steep red tile roof. The main house is two storeys and two windows wide, set back slightly from the road facing west, and is accompanied by two rear wings, one gabled to the southeast and one hipped to the northeast. The original plan featured two main cells with a central entrance and internal gable chimneys.

The west front displays fine brick craftsmanship, incorporating pilasters to the corners and a central gabled porch. There’s a projecting plinth and decorative brick eaves. The ground floor has triple-sash windows, while the first floor features wide three-light casement windows. Decorative brick panelling is located above the porch on the first floor. A panelled door provides access to the interior.
