Description
The Lodge to Scampston Hall is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from stuccoed sandstone sitting on a plinth, topped with a slate roof. The building has a square plan and is one storey high, featuring a three-bay front with raised quoins. The main entrance consists of a panelled door with a diamond-latticed upper half and an overlight, flanked by cross windows that have stone sills. All openings are framed with raised surrounds, and both the overlight and windows feature diamond-lattice glazing. The roof has overhanging eaves and a pyramidal shape with a stack at the apex. On the left and right sides, there are two cross windows each, displaying similar detailing.
