Description

Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, likely with earlier origins, and features a late 19th-century extension. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond at the front and stretcher bond on the sides, topped with a concrete tile roof. It has a central-stairhall plan, is one room deep, and includes rear service rooms, with a later kitchen added to the rear left.

The farmhouse is two stories high with a three-window front. The central entrance features a half-glazed door with recessed panels. Throughout the building, there are 16-pane sash windows with painted stone sills, and all openings have painted flat arches with keyblocks. The eaves are stepped and dentilled. On the left side, there is a 36-pane horizontal sliding sash window beneath a segmental arch. The rear includes a 12-pane sash window at the ground floor center and a 12-pane horizontal sliding sash above, both with segmental arches. The eaves course is stepped, and there are end stacks on both ranges of the M-shaped roof.

Inside, there is an open-string, dog-leg staircase featuring clustered stick balusters and a moulded handrail that ramps up to the half landing and first floor. The cheekpieces are decorated with foliate carving. The ground-floor front rooms have six-panel doors, with the right room's door featuring fluted borders and paterae. Round-arched fireplace niches in this room have anthemion-carved keyblocks. In the ground-floor room to the left, there are double cupboard doors made of six raised and fielded panels with H-hinges. Original plank doors are present in the rear rooms.
