Description
Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red and cream brick in Flemish bond, set on a sandstone ashlar plinth, and features a timber eaves cornice. The roof is covered with pantiles and has been rebuilt with brick stacks. The building has a central-entry plan and is two rooms deep.
The front facade is two stories high and has three bays, with the central bay featuring a full-height recessed round arch. There is a half-glazed and panelled door set within a door-case that has a bracketed cornice hood. Above the door is a segment-headed four-pane sash window with a painted segment lintel. The other windows on the facade are four-pane sashes, each with painted wedge lintels and painted stone sills. The end stacks rise through the hipped roof.
On the right return front, there are two full-height recessed round-arched bays that contain four-pane sashes on the ground floor and four-pane segment-headed sashes on the first floor.
