SE 8574 RILLINGTON WESTGATE (north side) 11/52 Church Farmhouse

II Farmhouse. Late C17 - early C18, with C20 alteration and extension. Red brick in random bond; gable wall to left rendered; weather-board porch; pantile roof. 3-cell, baffle-entry plan, with outbuilding to right, extended to front in C20. 2-storey, 5-bay front. Right of centre part- glazed and panelled door within C20 porch. C20 3-light windows with top- opening panes throughout, except to first floor right which is of 2 lights. Ground-floor openings have flat arches of rubbed brick. Stepped brick eaves course. Double stack to centre, and later stack to left. Interior: chamfered spine beams to ground-floor rooms, that in room to right stopped. Cupboard doors with butterfly hinges in room to centre.
