Farmhouse. Circa mid C18 with circa later C18/early C19 additions and alterations. Flemish bond red brick with brick platbands and corbelled brick cornice. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. Brick stacks projecting at gable ends. L-shaped plan with double-depth range to rear. 2 storeys and attic. Symmetrical 3-window front with cambered brick arches to the openings. Wooden mullion-transom windows with iron casements and lead horizontal glazing bars, first floor original 2-light windows, ground floor enlarged openings to take circa early C19 3-light windows. Central doorway with rectangular overlight and panelled door. Two gabled dormers with 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. Rear wing of 2 gabled ranges with central valley and parapet. INTERIOR: Entrance hall has good oak open-well staircase with turned balusters. Room to right has late C18/early C19 fluted pilasters and panelling and mid C18 chimneypiece. Room to left has large formerly open fireplace with moulded mantel shelf and flanking cupboards. Panelled doors to some rooms, moulded boarded doors to others, with H-hinges.
