Description

This lych gate, located 15 metres north of the Church of Saint Mary, was built around 1870 by the architect G E Street for Sir Tatton Sykes. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a wooden roof structure covered with plain tiles. The gate has wooden gates that are flanked by two semi-circular buttresses, which support a pointed arch. The design includes a coved eaves course and sprocketed eaves, along with decorative openwork at the gable ends.
