Description
This lych gate, located about 70 metres south of the Church of St Mary, dates from the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone ashlar plinth and has a tiled roof. The east and west gables are supported by herringbone strutting from a king post, while the north and south gablets have crossed struts that create quatrefoil panels. The gates are ornamental, with cross-bracing, cast iron fleurs-de-lys rails, and decorative strap hinges.
