Description
The gateway, gates, and quadrant walls at the Droitwich Lodge entrance to Westwood Park were built in the mid to late 19th century. They are constructed from red brick and sandstone ashlar. The gateway features a Tudor arch with hollow chamfer moulding and rubbed brick voussoirs. Above the arch, there is a square panel in a stepped parapet on both sides, which displays the Pakington coat of arms in low relief. The cast iron gates are adorned with an elaborately detailed upper rail. The quadrant side walls include an arcade of stone four-centred arches topped with weathered coping, and there are octagonal stone end piers with moulded capping.
