The Swan Inn And Outbuilding Attached To North

The Swan Inn and the attached outbuilding to the north are a public house and outbuilding, likely built in the early 19th century. The structure is made of rubble that is partly rendered, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring three chimneys. The building has two storeys. Facing Main Street, there are two bays with tripartite windows that have been recently reglazed. The doorway includes an ornamental fanlight that has been painted over. To the left, there are two round-headed doorways and various sashed windows with glazing bars, including two tripartite windows. On Swan Street, there are six bays of sash windows, all with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, with the last window being tripartite. The doorway has a plain stone surround. Attached to the north is an outbuilding, possibly a former barn, which has a weathered doorway to the right of a segmental-headed cart entry. Above this entry is a datestone, possibly reset, inscribed with BAS 1693.
