Description
The ice house, dated 1838, is located approximately 50 metres north of Weston Hall. It is constructed of gritstone with a brick lining. The outer doorway features a plain stone surround and a lintel that displays the date. Inside, there is a short passage leading to two similar inner doorways, although all doors are currently missing. The structure includes a circular sunken chamber with a domed roof that is about 5 metres deep. At the time of the last survey, the entrance and exterior were overgrown.
