Description
Corn Mill Cottage is a building likely dating from the early 18th century. It stands two storeys high and is constructed from coursed rubble. The cottage features four evenly spaced sash windows on the upper floor and three irregularly placed windows, along with a small one, on the lower floor. The entrance door has four moulded panels and the roof is made of slabs. There are two chimneys located at the ridge. On the east end of the cottage, there is a doorway with a moulded architrave.
Corn Mill Cottage is part of a group that includes Burley Hall, the former orchard walls south of Burley Hall, the piers and gates of the entrance to Burley Hall from Corn Mill Lane, the garden wall to the south of Burley Hall, the viaduct and bridge south of the mill pond, and Corn Mill Cottage Barn, which is located to the south of the cottage.
