Description
East View Farmhouse and its flanking walls date from the late 18th century. The farmhouse is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a pantile roof with two lowest courses of stone flags. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a central bay that projects three-sided from the main structure. This central bay includes a 20th-century window at the ground floor center, an 8-pane side-sliding sash window above, and recesses on both the ground and upper floors.
The first bay has a 12-pane side-sliding sash window on the ground floor, with a similar but smaller window above. The third bay contains a blind window at the ground floor and an 8-pane side-sliding sash window above. All windows and recesses are topped with flat brick arches, and there is an ashlar sill band at the ground floor. The main block of the projecting bay has a hipped roof and a single central stack on the rear roof pitch.
The flanking walls extend approximately 10 meters in length and feature 20th-century board doors set under round brick arches, connecting the farmhouse to a barn on the north side and an outbuilding on the south side.
