Description
This ice house, located approximately 15 metres north of All Saints Church, dates from around 1800. It is constructed of orange-red brick and is set into a natural slope, featuring a sandstone rubble retaining wall. The structure has a short entrance passage that leads into a cylindrical interior topped with a domed roof. It is likely that this ice house was associated with the Downe Arms Hotel.
