Pair of houses, now 4 dwellings. Late C18; C19 alteration and extension; C20 remodelling and modernisation. Dressed sandstone with slate roof and brick stacks. 2-storey, 4-window front. Two C20 doors, with 2-light, 12- pane horizontal-sliding sashes to ground floor end left and right of centre: remaining ground-floor windows are C20 replacements and those to first floor correspond with those below. All windows have stone sills, some painted. All openings have flat arches. Hipped roof with end right, centre and centre left stacks. Left return front: 2-storey, 3-bay front, the centre bay extended to form a full-height semicircular bay. C20 door to centre bay beneath curved door-hood on brackets: 12-pane sash above. 16-pane sashes with flat arches to ground floor on either side, and 2-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding sashes to first floor. Shaped parapet with ball finial to centre bay. Outbuilding : bow fronted with a central plank door in plain, square-headed architrave, approached by steps. Paired round-arched lights in square-headed surrounds to each side, with 8-pane windows, chamfered mullions and stone sills. Shaped parapet with ball finial. Outbuilding said to have been used as the local gaol at one time.
