Description

These three houses, numbered 1, 3, and 5, stand on Northallerthon Road in Brompton. They were built in the early 18th century. The exterior is roughcast, topped by a pantile roof with a decorative band of stone slates along the eaves. The houses are two storeys high and three bays wide. A board door, set within a quoined surround featuring a lintel and keystone, is located to the right of the left-hand bay. To the right of the central bay are two board doors, each with its own keystone. Modern bowed windows are present. The first floor has three-light casement windows. A dentil band runs along the eaves. The left end of the building features a shaped kneeler, a stone coping, and an end stack. There are two ridge stacks.
