Description

Nos 131, 133, and 135 High Street are a range of three houses dating from the mid-18th century, with a later addition to the rear. They are constructed from regularly coursed coal measures sandstone with ashlar dressings, all of which are now painted. The houses feature advanced quoins, coped gables, and moulded kneelers, along with gable brick stacks and a roof covered in Welsh slate. The building is arranged in an L-plan, with the main elevation facing the street.

The north elevation has three storeys and three bays, with a central door that has a moulded shallow cornice. The door is a four-panel design, with the upper two panels being glazed. The windows are stacked in band surrounds; they were originally flush mullioned but now feature coupled sash windows on the ground and first floors, while the second floor has shallower windows with single glazing bars. Plain bands connect the window heads on each floor.
