Description
Green Hall Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed coal measures sandstone with quoins, plain gables, gable brick stacks, and one side wall ashlar stack. The roof is covered in plain slate, with a rear range added to the south-east wing featuring pantile tiling. The south-east elevation is two storeys and attics, with two bays. A central doorway has a plain surround, a massive lintel, and a 20th century glazed door. Flanking the doorway are two-light casement windows with glazing bars beneath painted lintels. Recessed chamfer mullioned windows are found on the first and attic floors, alongside three and four-light windows to the first floor, each with a dripmould. An upper floor window is a two-light and a three-light mullioned window, now blocked. The south-east gable features bulls-eye windows in square surrounds with crosses in relief. The north-east gable displays a three-light and a two-light mullioned window, with the latter blocked.
