Description

These three houses, numbered 39 to 43 Bridge Street, were constructed in the late 18th century, representing three distinct building phases. The houses are built of coursed squared stone with thick, prominent pointing, and feature pantile roofs with stone dressings and brick stacks. The building is two storeys and has four bays in total, with the left-hand side being lower. An arched cart entrance is located in the second bay, leading to the door of number 41. The other houses have front doors, each consisting of four panels. Late 19th-century sash windows are set within wooden casings. Stone copings and kneelers are visible on the right-hand part of the roof, and there are three ridge stacks.
