Description

Langton House and its attached outbuilding date from around 1700, with later additions in the 18th century. The house is constructed of rendered brick and coursed stone, with a pantiled roof, rendered chimneys, stone copings, kneelers, and finials. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical facade of three windows, characterized by its wide proportions. A 20th-century door is centrally positioned, flanked by modern windows. The first floor features Yorkshire sash windows. A moulded eaves cornice is present, with widely-sprocketted eaves, and two ridge stacks. One kneeler displays a stepped, pointed finial. The outbuilding is stone-built, two storeys high, and two bays wide. A large segmental carriage arch, incorporating a key and impost blocks, is located on the left side, with Yorkshire sash windows to the right. The rear elevation of the house showcases brickwork and a stepped eaves cornice.
