Description
Nos 2 and 3 Race Terrace are two houses that form part of a terrace but are separate buildings, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed tooled squared sandstone. No 2 features a pantiled roof, while No 3 has a Welsh slate roof; both have stone trim and brick chimney stacks. Each house is two storeys high and has two bays, with No 2 being the wider of the two. The entrance to No 2 has a 20th-century door, whereas No 3 has a 19th-century four-panel door, both of which include overlights. All windows are sash style with glazing bars set in wooden box frames. The chimneys are located at the ends and at the junction of the buildings; one chimney has been rebuilt in brick, while the other is rendered. At the left end of each roof, there is a stone coping and kneeler.
