Description
Two houses, likely built in the middle or late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond pattern, with ashlar stone dressings and a Welsh slate roof. Each house is two storeys high and two bays wide. The houses have quoins. Number 7, on the left, has a slightly off-centre four-panel door with a three-pane overlight, set within a plain stone surround topped with a cornice. There are 4-pane casement windows to either side of the door and on the first floor. Number 8 has a four-panel door with a plain overlight and a panelled intrados (the curved space above the door) within a plain stone surround with a cornice on the far left. To the right of the door is a four-pane sash window, with a matching window above. All windows have plain stone sills and are topped with stuccoed flat arches. A moulded stone cornice sits above the windows, followed by a blocking course and stone coping. There are end stacks (decorative chimney stacks) and one stack running along the ridge of the roof.
