Description
No. 17 Richmond Road is a building that was originally two houses but is now one. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of coursed sandstone with ashlar dressings and stone slate roofs. The building has two storeys and features two sets of two first-floor windows. The outer corners have quoins. The openings include ashlar sills and deep lintels. The left-hand house has 4-pane sash windows and brick stacks located at the right end and laterally to the rear. The right-hand house has a lower roof and features a 20th-century part-glazed board door on the left and 16-pane sash windows, with a brick stack at the right end.
