Description
No. 82 High Street is a late 18th to early 19th century building that originally consisted of two houses but is now one. It is constructed of rubble and features a 20th-century clay pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The building is two storeys high and has a window arrangement of two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. There are quoins between the second and third bays and on the right side. To the left, there is a 20th-century four-panel door set in an altered quoined ashlar surround, with a blocked doorway to the right of the central quoins. The ground-floor windows are small canted bays with sash windows topped by flat lead roofs. The first-floor windows include a narrow 8-pane sash to the left of two 16-pane sashes. There is a raised verge on the right side, and stacks are located at the centre and right end of the building. This property is included for its group value.
