Description

This is a house located at 86 High Street, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The building has two storeys and two first-floor windows. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century part-glazed six-panel door set within a chamfered quoined ashlar surround. To the extreme left, there is an 18th-century six-panel passage door framed by a raised ashlar surround. The house has sash windows with thick glazing bars and crown glass, all set in raised ashlar surrounds. There is a brick ridge stack with an ashlar cornice located to the right of the passage door, as well as a brick stack at the right end of the building.
