Description
The building is a late 18th-century house. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with ashlar detailing. The roofs are pantile to the main and single-storey sections, and stone slate to the two-storey portion. The main facade is three storeys and three bays, with a two-storey, two-bay extension to the right, and a single-storey, one-bay extension further to the right. The front features a low ashlar plinth and quoins, with ashlar bands at the first and second floor levels. A shallow flight of two steps leads to a door on the right, constructed with four panels and two small lights. Doric pilasters support a plain entablature and dentilled triangular pediment. The ground floor windows have wide moulded flush cases, four-pane sashes, stone sills, and incised lintels with keystones. First-floor windows are similar; the second-floor windows are two-pane casements with plain lintels. Brick end stacks are present. The two-storey extension has large ground-floor windows with four-pane sashes and lintels matching the main facade, and square casements on the first floor with segmental arches in the headers. The single-storey range has one unequally hung sash window of nine lights and a stone slate eaves course. Original plaster decoration remains on the ceilings of the hallway and main living room. The staircase features a ramped handrail and slender balusters. The front boundary wall is brick, 70 centimeters high, with stone coping and two squat rusticated gate piers.
