Description
The Wesleyan Chapel is a Wesleyan Methodist chapel built in 1840. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a double leaf four-panel door with a fanlight, framed by a pedimented Doric surround. All windows are round-headed sashes with margin lights, stone sills, impost bands, moulded archivolts, and keystones. There is an eaves band with a central stone tablet inscribed with 'Wesleyan Methodist Chapel MDCCCXL'. The gable is pedimented with stone coping and three ball finials. The chapel is included for its group value.
