Description

Walkers Ground is a mid-18th century house with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a machine tile roof. The house is two storeys high and originally had three bays. Stone quoins are visible on the right side. The central entrance features a six-panel door within a plain stone surround that is shouldered out to the plinth, finished with a keystone. Later additions include brackets supporting a stone cornice. Flanking the door are 19th-century canted bay windows with sash windows, stone sills, friezes, and cornices. To the left of the entrance, a segmental-arched passageway opening has a plank door. The first floor has sash windows with stone lintels. The right end features a shaped kneeler and stone coping. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building.
