Description

Ye Old Golden Lion Cottage is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the early 18th century with later alterations. The building is rendered and has a 20th-century pantile roof. It is two stories high and has three bays, following a lobby entrance plan. There is a six-panel 20th-century door to the left of the right-hand bay, which features 12-pane side-sliding sash windows. The two left-hand bays have canted bays on the ground floor, with three-light side-sliding sashes that have glazing bars on the front and fixed small-pane windows on the sides. On the first floor, there are three-light 20th-century casements. The cottage has an eaves band and rendered coping on the left gable. There is an end stack on the left and one on the ridge.
