Description

The Old Vicarage is a house dated 1829. The front is built of ashlar stone, while the rest of the building is red brick, with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays, with a small addition to the left that is slightly set back. To the right of the first bay is a half-glazed door surmounted by a transom light, set within a stone doorcase featuring Doric columns and a cornice. Below the cornice, the lintel is inscribed "WHD 1829." All the windows are 3-light, 28-pane side-sliding sash windows with wedge lintels and stone sills; there are three windows above the ground floor and four below, plus a single-light window set between the central bays. A bracketed drainpipe runs down the front. The building has end stacks and one stack rising from the ridge.
