Description
These are early to mid-19th century cottages located on the north side of Eastgate. They are built of coursed rubble and have a pantile roof with three brick stacks. The cottages have rusticated quoins and three windows on each floor, with stone lintels above the windows. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor windows also have stone lintels, and there are three four-panel doors with rectangular fanlights above them. A plinth runs along the base of the building. Nos 42 to 47, 49 to 57, and 59 to 70 form a group, with Nos 50 to 52, 56, 57, 68, and 69 recognised for their local interest.
