Lodge Approximately 20 Metres To South West Of Bedale Hall Gatehouse

This building is a lodge located approximately 20 meters to the south-west of Bedale Hall Gatehouse, and it has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The lodge is two stories tall and has three bays.

The central entrance features a half-glazed door with an overlight, set within a flush wood architrave and beneath a flat brick arch. The windows on the ground floor are fitted with stone cills and flat brick arches, with two unequally-hung 9-pane sash windows flanking the door. On the first floor, there is a central blind window, with 6-pane sash windows on either side. The building is finished with a stepped and dentilled cornice, and the hipped roof includes a central ridge-stack.
